Finding the Woman in "Mommy"
Wiping noses and bottoms, doing dishes and laundry, making beds and lunches and endless meals...I have lost the woman inside me. I pray this blog will help me find myself again in the midst of the mundane tasks of mommyhood. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being a mommy and wife...with all my heart. It is better than I ever imagined, but the endless work has snuffed out some of my joy. My sister-friend says to "savor every moment." So here is my attempt to live to the fullest during this stage of life.

Regarding your other commentor...I wish I could hold Wingman!!! :) He is such a cutie. Anywho, I'm so stupid that when I read your post the first time, the "Aunt Flo" part flew right over me. duh!!! I was thinking "tell her to go back home!" - but now I get it. I'm dense. Anyway, glad you are feeling better and Aunt Flo shouldn't stay long!

WOW!!! That is totally UNFAIR!!! Ruthie was TEN months old when Aunt Flo came to visit... although I was exclusively breast feeding... I'm so sorry for this unwanted visitor. May she LEAVE soon!! :)

That is so funny that Rich is so understanding...really Alana, you need to quit that! :-) Aunt Flo is just now visiting me after 7 mos. What is up with you? YUCK!!! Aunt Flo is just not a fun visitor, but she will be gone soon!
Okay this is getting really confusing, but that comment actually WAS from Rich. I'm sure he is so glad that he chose to stop by and see THAT post. Too funny. Anyway...about your situation...complete and utter injustice!!

I am SO sorry that your aunt is here. In your sweet husbands own words to me...(about dieting though, not aunt flo!) THAT JUST SUCKS!
My husband is always amazed at the things we girls will share with each other....that's what makes us girls!

I had an Aunt Flo growing up. We used to visit her on the West Coast of Florida when I was growing up.
…I always liked my aunt Flo.
Though I'm not looking forward to Auntie's visit, I sure am ready to feel a little normal again. And preferably not so doughy!
how unfair! Aunt Flo came to visit when Morgan was 6 weeks old - UGH! I feel your pain... she really should have stayed away much longer.
