The mad rush to finish projects has begun. I thought I would post my list just for accountability purposes. I am the #1 procrastinator. But if all of you will promise to nag me, then hopefully I will be more motivated.
As it stands now, I would rather sleep for the next 12 weeks and hope the baby likes the Pack-N-Play in the closet idea. I am beginning to be OK with that. People, I don't want to be OK with that. Please nag.
Daily and often.
Unless, of course, any of you can tell me how to access my inner genie so all I have to do is wiggle my nose and VOILA! It is doubtful that any of you are genies, so I guess I better make my list.
Today's list:
--cook dinner. We are having this. Yummy!
--figure out what I spent $200 on at the local grocery store. It just doesn't seem like I got that much.
--call my mom and ask if she's mad at me (check. She's not.)
--pull out Spring maternity clothes and pack away Winter
--find my toenail polish and attempt to polish sad, swollen toes
--form guest list for my shower!! Wanna come?
--finish this post before I become overwhelmed and SHUT DOWN occurs.
Before April 19th list:
--plan son's birthday party, send invites, call bakery
--light a fire under contractor's behind so the new bathroom gets finished. I have already cried on his shoulder, maybe tears just aren't effective anymore...
--clean up mess from construction
--decorate new sport's room and bathroom
--shop for bathroom stuff
--call mural painter for bathroom and baby's room (check. She is coming April 16th.)
--pass the Glucola test tomorrow
--birthday shop for Z
--clean and organize office equipment that we are pulling out of Z's new room
--find a place for said office equipment, probably the craft room.
--shed a few tears over loss of my craft space. Not that I have crafted anything in the last 2 years, but still it requires a period of mourning.
--buy a gift for the incredible girl who sewed baby's new bedding, any ideas?
--eat more fruits and vegetables and less Oreo's
--attend 5 family birthday parties
--participate in meetings planning our annual Walk for Life to benefit local pregnancy clinic
--try to survive these 2 weeks while keeping it all in perspective. These are my deadlines, not necessarily God's.
Before mid-June list:
--find a cool diaper bag
--check car seat expiration date
--weigh the pros and cons of using our double stroller (check. Shelley said so!)
--plan meals for freezer cooking. This was my best survival idea after Loulabelle was born. The freezer was packed with meals.
--actually cook those meals
--beg mom to help with landscaping crisis
--get carpet professionally cleaned
--give dog a bath, or two
--figure out how to keep son in brand-new bedroom
--get Z ready for camp, then actually send him...
--touch-up any paint in baby's room
--set up crib and decorate
--purge playroom
--stop buying Oreo's, for goodness sake.
--participate in Walk for Life
--buy a cute dress for my shower!
--sort through baby boy clothes and organize baby's closet
--smell the brand new Pampers (unused, I am not a sick-o)
--monogram something, anything
--try to finish Loulabelle's baby book. This may be a pipe dream.
--attend school field trip and music concert
--plan the kid's days/nights while I am in the hospital
--buy a king-sized bed. It's time.
--take maternity pictures with kids
--relax and enjoy the final days of being pregnant for the last time. It has gone by way too fast.
Nag on, my friends. You have my permission to be unbearable and bossy. Or, better yet, keep me company while I procrastinate.

Yay, a shower!
Maybe each of us friends could sign up for a day of watching your kids so you can tackle these projects without protest!
Our yard is perfect for a slip-n-slide...
Once Z is out of school, pick a day that they don't have activities, and send 'em up for the day!
I'll take 'em! Seriously! I am SO excited for you! As I read over this list, the feelings I had before Austin was born rushed back. It is all so exciting, and exhausting! I'd love to help you in ANY way I can, you know that. And lets settle the stroller debate right now. Keep the double and use it. It's wonderful for the third baby, even when no other kids use it, you need it for all the STUFF! Yes it's big and heavy, but not all that much bigger or heavier than the single. So listen to me and check that one off baby!
i just loved this post. it was pure enjoyment reading it! my favorite line "monogram something, anything". i chuckled out loud right here at my desk! you are just too cute janelle! oh, and, count me IN for the shower! love it!
Well I would love to swap bodies with you for a few weeks, since it sounds like I have the personality you are looking for. Especially since you have the cutest pregnant body. I may gain more than you have total BEFORE you even deliver!
The list freaked me out as I realized I now have the same tasks to complete only I do not have the procrastination ability.
Thankfully the exhaustion is winning over my desire to move all the bedrooms around before the 13th. I promise it will not be done!
I cannot however guarantee that I won't be decorating for Christmas in October though, just to make sure it is done in time for R.
I promise to attempt to nag at you, although really this is something that only my sweet hubby gets to see.
I love these lists...the best one is smell the brand new pampers... I so know what you are talking about! =) I
Wow, you have alot to do! I loved my baby showers! I hope you so enjoy yours!
I'm signed up for Tuesday, right? Also, I'm willing to nag, I mean help you doing preschool hours sometime.
And seriously, if you spent $200 at the grocery store and don't know what you bought, then spend $150 at Social Suppers and take home 8 full or 16 split meals and start stocking your freezer now, girlfriend! You could check that off your list, too!
Oh, and I think Shelley's take on the double stroller makes SO much sense!
First time I've visited your blog, I believe, and I am utterly exhausted.
That's why baby-making is for young people.
Keep having fun...love your life as it is right now...too soon, it will be gone.

How fun I love preparing for a baby!
we just recently got our first king size bed after 10 years of marriage!
I would be happy to watch your kids for a day. With the plane ride here and back, you'll even get a three day weekend out of it. ;o)
I was all ready to be "unbearable and bossy," and then I read, "your sweet words are an encouragement to me daily..." I lost the motivation to be tough. ;o)
Wish I lived closer so I could come to your shower!!! Would love to shower blessing on you and your sweet baby- but will have to do it long distance! Good luck with the Glucola test tomorrow (or is that today?) ! Thats one I DIDN'T pass- whoa to me! Enjoy getting everything perfect for little poppy's arrival. But, remember, even if you don't think it's perfect, lil' poppy will still arrive right on schedule- and it will be OK!! :)
I can say a big amen to the king-sized bed. I can't believe you have made it this far without one. Also, I can say that Baby News and JellyBeanz in Springfield both have super cute baby bags. I have been secretly eyeing them for a while. Good luck on all your projects.
Hey, if you go to Social Suppers, bring me too! I've been wanting to go.
And I was crying on your shoulder? So sorry! The next few weeks should slow down for me... I want to come help you with anything.
You are funny! And about the cutest pregnant person ever. :-)
We did the Pack n Play in the closet for a couple of kids. Easy. Low stress. Sorry, no nagging from this mom.
Kate
lol!! Purge playroom... stop buying Oreos... won't you need the Oreos for when you purge the playroom? :)
It's almost here! I can't believe it! Didn't you just get pregnant? SO excited for you!
I am tired just reading your list! Best of luck to you. HOpe you find a cubby somewhere for crafting!
