Dear Ms. Cadillac 4-Door Sedan with Out-of-State Plates,
I assumed based on our contact this morning that you haven't read this. I will give you the benefit of the doubt since you are not one of the five people that actually read this blog. I did, in fact, check my rear view mirror in hopes that you were a friend. I think not.
Since we were not in eminent danger, there were no dogs in the road, and I was not about to hit you...there was really no reason for you to honk. I realize that you were late to your appointment at Panera, but really, is that my fault? Again, I think not.
For your benefit, I copied an article from "Driving Etiquette" by Cindy Rippe for your review. It is my hope that we can put this behind us and strive for a better relationship. I, too, must take responsibility for being reactive. Reducing my speed by more than half was wrong and possibly irritating to you. Please forgive me.
"The golden rule still applies, even on the highway. Drivers should remember that good behavior does not stop when you turn on the ignition. Still be courteous, gracious and magnanimous. Let others get in front of you, slow down so that oncoming traffic can merge, and don’t blow your horn out trying to get drivers to speed up but keep your patience and either, calmly, get into the next lane or, take in the scenery on your drive. Show them how driving should be done."
Sincerely,
Miss Mini Van

Who are you talking about? Anyone we know?
That is so funny! I will remember that as it happens quite often around here!
