We pre-registered at the hospital this morning. Went through all the paper work and blood draws. Got all the information regarding anesthesia, patient's bill of rights, etc. Needless to say, we walked away very informed, minus a pint or five of blood.
I forgot the one thing most urgent on my mind, so I called back to the hospital. Even now I am hearing the dreaded..."Hold, please. That is not my department." Heard that about 4 times until I finally talked to a lovely and very helpful lady in bed control.
"Bed control, you need something?"
"Yes, I pre-registered this morning and forgot to put in our request for a private room."
"Well, ma'am. This isn't a hotel."
Really?
Now I know there is an ever so slight possibility that she read this post on Day 7, but did she think I was really serious about this being a luxury spa vacation?
I guess I won't be expecting turn-down service with little mints on my pillow. Darn it!

I'm glad you still have a sense of humor at this late date! I was ready to bite the head off anyone who came near!
Blessings to you & the little one, my friend!
Is she a friend of Alana's neighboor? :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE the new look! I'm guessing Celeste helped with that. Awesome!!!
Beautiful! I clicked here and thought I was in the wrong place. I love it. It fits you perfectly.
Thanks for the shout out! New look for a new beginning. The hospital I had Luke at brought you a menu, and then you ordered through "room service". It was way better than the experience I had where I delivered Elle!
What? Are you kidding me? People still have to share hospital rooms? That is unfortunate. I hope you have the most private of rooms! Or at least have a very nice roomie...
We live in Seattle where we have a few nearby hospitals to choose from and I honestly chose the one with the poshest suites. Comfort matters when you're recovering from such an ordeal! A wonderful ordeal, though.
There are some definite advantages to delivering at the "local" hospital over the "big city" one.
I am praying for 35+ weeks, so that private room issue won't be a problem.
Good Luck in the am! I can't believe by the time I wake up the baby will already be born!
I like the new look!! And if you can't get a private room, then I hope it's a slow night and you get a double room all to your self!! Just said a prayer for you... can't wait to see pics!!
I will be praying for you as your family grows. Love the new look.
I don't know what Jen is talking about... I didn't have a private room at the small city one, but I did at the super big city one.
I love it!!! Celeste you did an awesome job!
Janelle~ enjoy your "vacation"!! I'll be praying for you.
Can't say enough how much I LOVE your new look. I'm a little jealous!! (But in a good way!) :)
LOVE the new look!
The blog is beautiful. Way to go, Celeste!
