Are you ready?
This is pure genius!
First. Make sure your man is taking a nap then lose your cell phone. Make him call you 40 times until you can locate it in the deep recesses of your car, otherwise known as the passenger seat hiding under some Krispy Kreme napkins.
Second (and most critical step). While backing HIS car out of the garage make sure you don't check your mirrors so you can slam into the HOUSE and pull HIS bumper half-way off allthewhile causing significant damage to your garage.
Third. Pray that he hears the horrific noise and runs out of the house to survey the damage.
If you follow steps 1-3 then I PROMISE you next time he will take care of all your errands. He might even offer to take your children with him.
You have my Money-Back guarantee!

Um...yeah. You may not be going anywhere for awhile, huh?
Maybe I could come to pick you up. I already have a couple of dents in the back of my car...what's one more?
LOL....yeah, and for at least two years following, he will wince and warn you to watch out every time he's in the car with you and you're driving. LOL!!!! Don't ask me how I know that. I'm sorry, though! *smiles*
Ouch. I know how you feel. Isn't that the most terrible feeling, the one you get when you realize, THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. So sorry! And faith's comment is SO true! Jason still warns me as I back out of the garage!
OH my!
That is UNBELEIVABLE!
We won't be trying that method, but thanks for the suggestion.
Might I also add that super glue does wonders with bumpers!
This is beyond super glue!
That is too funny!!!! I'm am tearing up... hahaha
My husband happened to be rear ended by a female family member in the high school parking lot, and she put an "OUCH!" bandaid on and made it all better. :) I won't mention any names... but she likes super glue! :)
Not sniffing it, but using it...
Just say, The baby made me do it!
Hey, and Mac can't laugh at you since she hit her house with a canoe!
Oh, and my sister can't laugh at you because she managed to hit all three of our family cars with each other various times when backing out of our driveway.
I can't laugh at you, well, have you seen the front of my van??
Okay, I'll laugh with you! Maybe a little at you too.
Oh dear...whoops! Good thing your husband loves you, right!
Oh my, that is quite a day! Yuck! I did a similar thing a few months ago...I was visiting my parents and taking some of my husband's family shopping in my home town. I took my parent's SUV because it is larger than our car and more comfortable for everyone. I started to back out only to realize my mother-in-law did not get all the way in yet! The back door was still open, and it scraped the door of her car, bending the door on my parents car. No one was hurt, but it was an expensive mistake to fix both cars. I didn't buy much shopping that day....
Hope you have a better week!
I really have no right to laugh at you (although I did) because as you know, I backed into a tree as I ever so hurriedly backed out of my garage. And yes, be prepared to be teased and warned for SEVERAL years to come whenever he deems necessary.
knock knock
who's there
orange
orange who?
orange ya glad it wasn't your car?
Oh, Janelle
I am so sorry. That is exactly somethign I would do. Driving makes me crazy...you know, that's why I prefer for Pam to do it.
so sorry janelle! that had to be awful. glad you can laugh and post about it though. i do hate the sound of crunching metal...i have heard it at least once before and it really is no fun at all.
i am cringing for you. cringing.
so glad your husband is a sweet, caring, gentle man.
who loves the HECK out of you.
you were batting your eyelashes, right? batting them a LOT? good. i hope so.
Oh Janelle... that sounds just like something I would do. I've never been in a really bad car accident (PTL) but I sure do rack up the "funny" stories for each little bump on my car!! :) We'll have to swap our car stories sometime! :)
Dawn you did read that I backed into a tree right? You still prefer I drive your kids? :)
I just knew I had to check out your blog. With a name like "Snot and Kisses" there had to be some humor somewhere, and I was right, there is humor :)
Oh my. Sounds like you had quite the exciting day. I too have had my fair share of bumpers pulled off cars. One time in Dallas I riped the front bumper off my honda and some guys had to pick it up off the ground and put it in my car. I drove all the way home with a bumper running from my trunk all the way to my front windshield. Embarassing and humiliating. Brett was very gracious and has loved me through many bumps, dings and scrapes on the car. Hang in there friend!
oh you poor poor thing. But look at the bright side - it made for a great blog post!!!
P.S. - was your hubby upset at you?
I just stumbled onto your blog-it's great to read!
I seriously am so uncoordinated, I can't believe I haven't done this already! It's good to know that when I do (because I'm sure I will) that there is a very positive side benefit!
