Well, there was that one nap I took yesterday and the almost full night's sleep the night before. OK, so I have been able to sleep. Nothing could take me away from my favorite past-time.
Also, I have been eating. The baby has needed nutrition. But I haven't enjoyed it. I promise you that! Except for the BLT I had at Sonic. That was just darn tasty. Again, it was for the baby.
Today is a new day and I, my friends, am free from guilt. Skip took the car to a locally-owned body shop and received a bid for the repair. The owner of the shop goes to our church and gave us an awesome price for the job. If it wasn't for him, we were looking at a major expense.
The house might be another story. Skip managed to "piece" it back together, but it definitely needs to be replaced. I still have a little guilt about that.
But I am pretty sure that I will go right on sleeping and eating like nothing ever happened.
I am so thankful to my man. He has handled this entire debacle with grace and mercy. I think he and his buddies have had several good laughs at my expense though. Every time I talk to him he has a least one or two more stories about female drivers. I will admit that I deserve any laughter coming my way. My driving record is not what I would call "sparkling" but it has been a long time since I have done anything remotely close to this.
Anyway, thanks honey. You are a man of honor.
P.S. Could you bring home some ice cream?

I was just talking to Celeste, and remembered something...When I "bumped" into Rich's car that night at my house, Skip was very sweet and caring. I knew Jason was so mad at me, and although I don't remember exactly what Skip said, I know he said something sweet and supportive. Maybe he remembered that when you "bumped" into the garage! Maybe he remembered that how upset I was, and realized that you probably were too! Or maybe not, but I'm glad he hasn't been too upset with you!
Sorry all that guilt is having such an effect on you! ;-)
Have you stopped the nervous giggling yet?
If so have Skip pick you up Blue Bunny Birthday Party Ice cream...it has the yummiest white creamy vanilla ice cream with blue frosting and sprinkles mixed in...
TO DIE FOR!
I am truly sorry that the above comment was about Blue Bunny ice cream. That's enough to make any gal vomit even if she isn't pregnant.
Love that Skip has been so great about it. I think he is a super guy anyway and this just confirms it all.
Here at Snot and Kisses, we only endorse Cold Stone Creamery with the possible exception of Nestle Crunch Ice Cream Bars. :)
poor you. sounds like you're really down in the dumps. hope you cheer up soon.
and too bad your husband is so hard on you. that's rough.
(i'm smiling a little teeny smile)
He's a keeper for sure.
Our babies have very similar needs! My baby has been wanting some butter pecan praline ice cream lately -- I mean, who am I to deny that one?? :) Glad you have a good man to help you work through the guilt. *wink*
What a relief, I was worried that you wouldn't be sleeping or eating the appropriate amount of ice cream for that developing little boy!! :)
Glad to hear that the "oops" are being put back together!! :)
I think we might need some pictures.
And when are you going to post dirty Nestle man?
I agree with Alana. Me thinks we need to see some pictures. So, we can understand the full measure of your hubby's grace and all. :)
Oh, that BLT from Sonic sounds lovely. And ice cream... of any variety, make ME feel better. :)
Yep, sometimes things like this just happen & it's a blessing to have husbands that understand. Hope you got some yummy ice cream!
