I won't bore you with any of the ugly details. But, trust me. It was UGLY.
I will choose to focus on some of the scattered joy. Believe me when I tell you that it was scattered. But I am thankful for it. Otherwise, I would have to find a hole and cry for days.
--the twinkle of Cwismas lights in my daughter's eyes.
--snuggling with her in bed while we listened to Christmas music.
--a surprise kiss from Z.
--an impromtu back rub from Skip...gift of mercy.
--Chicken Noodle soup.
--listening to the testimony of an 80 year old couple about a life lived for the Lord.
--Polar Express
--two trees down, two to go.
--a much needed nap.
--two siblings snuggled together reading, acting like the friends I hope they become.
--groceries that I didn't have to shop for.
--Pajama Day Monday!
Have a wonderful week. I hope you have Scattered Joy all the days of this holiday season.

PJ Monday?! I'm jealous! Sounds like a wonderful plan...and one I'd love to take part in myself.
Hope things get better soon, friend.
SO glad you can see the joy even during ugly times. What a great reminder as we all get very busy with this season.
Makes me think of the line in the old Christmas carol...
Tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy. Oh tidings of comfort and joy.
Oh friend, I'm sorry the weekend was a rough one, but it is so great that you see the "scattered joy". I loved the list. Miss you.
I love that the boys can read to their sisters now, it is so cute!
Hope this week brings you more scattered joy.
Oh sweetie, I'm glad you see the scattered joy in the midst of the chaos. I think sometimes that's all I can cling to, the scattered joy. It can sure be rough going sometimes, good for you for looking for the good stuff!
Thank you for stopping by & visiting my blog and for your kind words! Looks like you too have some pretty cute kids.
I admire you for even after having a hard weekend, looking at the positive and be thankful even amidst is all.
Sorry you had a rough weekend. But this is a much needed reminder to me to look for the scattered joys in the upcoming holiday season!
Thanks!

Don't you just hate spending the weekend in fussing and upset? But it sure feels good to have all right in the world again, and pajama Monday sounds like a great way to start the new week off on the right foot.
We've all had those weekends... good for you for seeking the joy in the midst of it all! Hope you had a great week!
