This has been a week of headaches. Not the manage-with-drug kind, but the full-blown-knock- me-upside-the-head-with-a-frying-pan kind.
I don't know if it is the heat. The sun. Or that I have stopped drinking caffeine. Probably all the above.
Whatever the reason, it is bringing me down. I don't feel "myself", I feel blah and super crabby. I have snapped at my husband, my kids, my dog, the lifeguard at the pool. Everyone is on my hit list.
But seriously, the lifeguard probably deserved it. One of the qualities I look for in a possible life or death situation is the ability to see. Call me picky, but I like my lifeguards to have their hair out of their eyes so they can actually see my child, or the pool, or anything further away than an inch. Maybe my standards are just set too high.
Somebody please make it stop hurting! WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

Too scared to comment, must avoid the hit list.
Oh, I'm SO sorry.
Praying for relief ASAP. Does a heating pad help your headaches? They usually make me feel better but I know some people prefer cold packs.
Hang in there and feel free to snap at lifeguards left and right if it helps. I'm sure they deserve it! (Although there are a lot of lovely lifeguards out there, of course.)
I once yelled at a life guard (I'm not confrontational until I snap) at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas because she kept blowing her whistle and YELLING rudely at innocent and unsuspecting little kids who approached a section of the "beach" that was off limits. But there was no sign even indicating it was off limits! How were they supposed to know? It was outrageous. So I let her know, and it felt great. And I didn't even have a headache.
Once you're up to it you'll have to tell us more about the incident!
Hang in there!!
I've had a couple of headaches this week as well. I'm not sure if it is allergies or heat, or both. I think the decrease in caffeine for you could be a distinct factor!
Want to know my headache/migraine cocktail? Actually, it is Rich's concoction, but if I add a warm compress to my eyes, a dark room, and quiet (yeah, right) it usually works.
1 Excedrin
1 Ibuprofen
1 Sudafed
Cheers!
I get migraines all the time, so I COMPLETELY sympathize with you! Usually I have to sleep them off. You might try wrapping a towel (like a turban) VERY tightly around your head - your temples just as tight as you can get it - and sleeping that way after taking some headache medication. The counter-pressure helps me sometimes. Good luck!
I feel for you sweetie. Just know I'm praying for the vice to be released, so that you can return to your normal wonderful self!
advil, advil, advil, it is totally my "drug of choice". hope you feel better fast. may all the long haired teenage boys be forewarned to steer clear or just GO GET THEIR HAIR CUT dag nab it!!!!
Sorry for your headaches. I honestly can't imagine suffering those kind! But it hasn't hampered your ability to make me laugh!
